My Story

I am a proud member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation from Sandy Bay, SK. I come from the traditional territory of the Cree and Métis of Treaty Six—Asiniskow Intiniwalk, the Rock People. My life’s journey has been profoundly shaped by the legacy of my ancestors, especially my grandparents, who were survivors of residential schools. I am an intergenerational survivor of trauma, carrying the weight of unhealed wounds passed down through generations.

Growing up, I faced many challenges, including my own battles with addiction and mental health. These struggles nearly broke me, but they also led me to the work I do today. My past was marked by pain, devastation, and a deep sense of loss. I was caught in a cycle of trauma that almost took my life, but through critical life-altering events, I found the strength to survive and heal.

A turning point in my life came when a counselor broke the rules to reach out to me. Through their support, I began to break down the walls I had built around myself. I learned to speak openly about my pain, to forgive, and to begin the journey of healing. This experience sparked a passion within me to help others who are walking similar paths.

Today, I am a Community Addictions Worker and Motivational Speaker, committed to guiding others through their own journeys of healing and self-discovery. My workshops are rooted in the principles of self-love, forgiveness, and resilience. I blend the cultural wisdom of my Cree heritage with modern therapeutic practices, offering a unique and holistic approach to wellness.

Through my story, I hope to inspire others to find their own strength, to forgive, and to heal. My journey is far from over, but I am dedicated to walking alongside others as they find their way to peace and empowerment.
